Area of Work

 In 2013, WORUDET successfully implemented a Women Land Rights project in Pader district with support from Landesa. The one year project contributed in creating awareness of women land rights strengthened capacity of the cultural leaders including Rwot Okworo’s and Rwot Kweri in managing land issues with gender dimensions. WORUDET with support from Landesa developed a replicable approach to empower women to realize their rights to land- Find attached framework and recommendation letter from Landesa.

This year, WORUDET got support from UN-Women to implement “Ending Violence Against women and Girls/Peace” project in Omot sub county. This a follow up support to the work that WORUDET implemented with their support in 2011.

In Lamwo district, WORUDET is being supported by Diakonia to implement Gender Equality for Sustainable Development. The program aims at strengthening capacity of women and men to become agents of change and promoters of gender equality. This is the second year of implementation.

American Jewsih World Service is supportin WORUDET implement GBV/Livelihhods program in Omot Sub ounty.

In 2013, Oxfam GB supported WORUDET to implement Women Land Rights Project and Violence Against Women projects in the sub counties of Palabek Gem, Palabek Ogili, Palebek Kal and Lokung.

International Solidarity Foundation is in the process of developing a working relation with WORUDET to implement a three years livelihoods program in Lamwo specificity in Palabek Ogili.
