Our Network

WORUDET has worked with other civil society organizations including  ISIS -WICCE, UWONET and civil society organizations in Pader, Agago,  Lamwo and Kitgum districts.

WORUDET is a  member of Northern Uganda Land Platform and  a member of Northern Uganda Human Rights partnership and a task force member of gender responsive PRDP. This experience of working with a cross section of networks has given WORUDET confidence to work in coalitions to address gender specific issues. Through the gender task force we have been able to lobby the government to address needs of women who have suffered from conflict including issues around peace building and access to justice for survivors of SGBV.

We have also work closely with cultural religious leaders to address gender concerns within their institutions. As a result we have seen many of the leaders condemning acts of violence against women and girls; they have also openly denounced defilement and denying women access to ownership of property.
